Always asking why.
I've always been curious about people, what they do, how they think, what motivates them, and what makes one person experience something completely differently from another. I've been asking questions for as long as anyone can remember. When I was younger, that curiosity came out as a constant stream of questions that drove everyone around me a little crazy.
That hasn't changed much. I've always loved learning, researching, and putting pieces together. I'm especially drawn to stories like history, people's experiences, and the little details that help explain how we got from there to here.
My career has given me plenty of opportunities to do exactly that.
I spent years working in retail operations, eventually moving into Customer Experience and Logistics leadership. Working inside these complex systems taught me to pay attention to patterns, ask better questions, and understand how people, processes, and technology affect one another.
Then I discovered UX research.
It felt familiar. The questions were familiar. The curiosity was familiar. The desire to understand why was familiar.
UX simply gave me a new way to investigate the things I've always been interested in.
I don't just want to know what happened. I want to understand the whole story.
Where my curiosity takes me...
